Reclaim Style with Reclaimed Wood for Your Kitchen, Bathroom & Utility Space
Posted on April 06, 2016
In an era obsessed with removing all traces of age, it's refreshing for an item to be seen as more desirable as it grows older. With reclaimed wood, a developed patina is not only acceptable, it's generally preferred. There's richness inherent in antique wood, both in color and texture that is only possible with age. These qualities make this a material we love to work with.
The pieces of our furniture line are made with wood that is over a century old. When this wood was originally harvested, it was done so from growth that had never been cut. Because of the age, this wood is harder and sturdier than 95% of wood available today.
The infancy of our country was witnessed by the very trees used in our islands & stands. Therefore we honor that by designing and building every piece of furniture by hand in our shop. A single craftsman is responsible for the entire construction of every piece of furniture we produce. From selecting each piece of wood to sealing the finished piece, this craftsman takes ownership of the project until it is ready to ship.
We produce several styles of reclaimed wood furniture for the kitchen, bath and utility spaces of the home. A small (but growing) catalog can be seen below. If you have an idea for a stand or island you'd like produced, get in touch. We offer custom work using the same quality materials and craftsmanship used in our ready-made pieces.
